Important Dates
Cougar Cheer will kickoff with an open clinic July 28th-30th. Time: TBD. Location: AMHS.
Final registration deadline August 1st.

Practice Schedules

Practices will be held on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm throughout the season beginning
August 20th. Location: AMHS

Game Schedule

Many of our cheerleaders have siblings on one of the Cougar teams. To support our families, we
will do our best to create the cheer schedule based on the collective availability of our families.  We will have a schedule set (minus playoffs) by the first practice.

Expectations and Eligibility

Cougar Cheerleaders are expected to have fun and try their best. Cheerleaders will not be
penalized for missed practices. If a family can only attend part of practice or a game, we want
your cheerleader there for whatever they can attend. We will provide access to all material taught
at practices for cheerleaders to review, but we’re all about having fun, building confidence, and
teaching leadership skills. We are open for all interested cheerleaders ages 3-14!

Tentative Costs

Uniforms will be whatever comfortable athletic shoes and black pants/skirt/shorts you already
own. Cheerleaders will wear our Cougars Cheer red t-shirts ($5-$10) and a pom/bow set (approx.
$10). We have been invited to participate in activities with other squads, which might involve
additional costs. These, and other items like sweatshirts and/or jackets, will be decided on as a
squad.
