At MCYFL Football, safety is our top priority.

Each player is taught and coached to play the game of football as safely as possible.  Our blocking and tackling techniques follow USA Football's Principles of Safer Contact.

Each player is equipped with a Riddell Speed Flex Helmet.  Our coaches have personally tested multiple helmet manufactures and found the Riddell Speed Flex to be the superior to all of their competitors.

In addition, we equip each player with a Guardian Protective Cap.  These caps augment existing helmets to make them pliable and able to more effectively manage energy.  This shell also creates padding to reduce injuries cause by helmets striking other players arms, hands, knees and legs.
